Introduction to Global History and Geography Vocab and Terms

Archaeology the study of remains humans have left behind, such as goods and materials
Geography - The Physical World landforms, bodies of water, vegetation and animal species, and climate regions.
Ziggurats ancient buildings, often called temples, that are pyramid-shaped
Prophet one who is believed by followers to speak for God
Economics the study of how human beings use resources to produce various goods and how these goods are distributed for consumption among people in society.
Sociology the scientific study of human behavior. Includes economic, social, political, and religious aspects of the peoples culture.
Psychology the science or study of living things and their interactions with the environment.
Anthropology the study, classification, and analysis of humans and their society - discriptively, historically, and physically.
Political Science the study of government, political processes, institutions, and political behavior.
