Origin: between anterior and uposterior gluteal lines. Insertion: right on the lateral surface of the greater trochanter. Function: abductor of hip gluteus medius
Origin: from rough ilium behind posterior gluteal line. Insertion: large upper two thirds attaches into ilio tibial tract of fascia lata. Function: Extends flexed thigh. glute maximus
Origin: anterior iliac crest. Insertion:between two layers of iliotibial tract. Function medial rotation of a flexed hip. tensor fascia latae
