What is the Cultural Revolution? A program to increase support for cummunism and remove enemies. All part of life is supposed to be about communism.
What do the Red Gaurds do? Who are the Red Gaurds? A group of students who watched for "uncommunist" people.
What was the cause of the Cultural Revolution? Increase support for the communist party.
What are 3 effects of the Cultural Revolution? Red Gaurds harmed many people,anything connected to foreign ideas and OLD Chinese ideas destroyed and people told on each other for "crimes" against communism.
What was the importance of the Cultural Revolution? Time of confusion,many killed or commited suicide and after Mao died Chinese leaders allowed for more private ownership of land and businesses.
What is the Tiananmen Square? Student protests in Tiananmen Square against the dishonesty and repression of the communist party.
What were 4 causes of the Tiananmen Square? People wanted democracy and freedom,thousands of soldiers with tanks and guns fired on the unharmed students,thousands of people arrested and destroyed the statue of the Goddess of Democracy.
What was the effect of the Tiananmen Square? Thousands of people arrested and or killed.
What were 2 importances of the Tiananmen Square? One of the most famous examples of communist cruelty and repression and although there is more freedom in China today,the communist government still controls people's lives.
