Chapter 11 Vocabulary for 20th Century

What recommends political social revolution? Radicals
What is Anarchism. A radical political theory in which they believe that the restraint of one person by another is evil. They also do not go by the authority of the government.
What is ban on alcohol? Prohibition
What is cooperation and involvement with other countries? Internationalism
What is disarmament? limitation or reduction of weapons.
What is industrial productivity? amount of goods each hour of labor.
What is a capital? an accumulation of money.
What is oligopoly? few producers influence an entire industry
What is the combination of programs employers adopted in order to convince workers they did not need unions? Welfare Capitalism.
What were the people who dealt with the commercial production and sale of goods and services to show that every worker is a consumer? Industrialists.
What is scientific management? suggests efficiency or time study experts analyze each work operation and find ways to lessen the time to do a job.
