What is Sparta? It is a Greek city-state.It was like a war state, the boys there at the age of 7 entered the military.
What is Athens? A Greek city-state. The people there are more focused on the pretty things of life. They are not really war orented.
Democracy a form of government run by the people
Tyrant a strongman who seized power by force and claimed to rule for the good of the power
Direct Democracy in which all people vote directly on an issue
Whofought in the Persian War? The war was fought by the Spartans and surrounding city-states against the Persians.
Why did Sparta only have 300 soldiers? They only had 300 because of the religous festvial was going on, and the 300 was the war kings' personal body guards.
Who fought in the Peloponnesian War? Why? The Delian League( Sparta) and the Peloponnesian League( Athens) declared war on eachother because the two city-states were intimadated by eachother and they wanted to see who was the best.
What was the result of this battle? Macedonia invaded and that was the start of legacy of "Alexander the Great".
Who is "Alexander the Great"? He became the King of Macedonia after his father was assissnated by his own body guard. He conquered Egypt,The Persian Empire, and attemped to took over India.
