| What does the word "continuum" mean? | "An unbroken range, sequence, or whole." |
| What does the word "Latitude" mean? Which way do the lines go on the Earth? | "Imaginary lines that circle the Earth from East to West (horizontally). The Equator is a line of latitude." |
| What does the word "Longitude" mean" Which way do the lines go on the Earth? | "Imaginary lines that circle the Earth from North to South (vertically). The Prime Meridian is a line of longitude." |
| How do we define what "oceans" are? | “The ocean is the body of salt water that covers 70 percent of the Earth’s surface and is divided into four primary oceans.” |
