Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit"— James 4
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. James 1
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. James 3
but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. James 3
And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? James 2
Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, James 1
You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask. James 4
let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. James 5
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion: Greetings. James 1
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4
For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. James 2
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. James 5
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. James 3
Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. James 5
Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1
If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, James 2
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." James 4
And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3
