Complexity When something is in the state of being complicated or intricate. As science and technology advance the complexity of things begin to decrease leading to a gain of knowledge.
Ice Age A past geological time period that went through a glacial episode. By studying the climate shifts scientists discovered the significance that gravitational fluctuations have on climate.
Goldilocks Principle When only certain conditions are good for an organism. By understanding good living conditions, society can learn how to create a comfortable life style
Gaia The earth personified as a goddess. By looking at the earth as Gaia, we can begin to see how the earth works as one living organism
Agrarian Revolution in the Neolithic Age, nomadic groups of people began to run out of food. This lead to the production of food at home inside the colonies rather then looking for food.
Entropy The thermodynamic property useful to work in the thermodynamic process. The thermodynamic system is a working process still under study, so entropy is important to help society learn.
Emergence Coming into being or becoming important. Because things in our world react to eachother, the emergence of knowledge will help us understand our world much better.
Integration The grouping of groups that were previously segregated. The blending of cultures is important and significant to society.
Paradox A statement that is logically unsensible. Studying paradoxes is important to the development of a creative mind.
Theory A system of ideas to express something. Scientific expirimenting lead to theories and because of theories we continue to have scientific expiriments.
Evolution The theory that organisms have adapted overtime. Understanding evolution can lead to the understanding of the begining of life.
Regime A government or group of leaders. Leaders control what is right and what is wrong in society.
