Agrarian revolution A change in farming methods that allowed for a greater production of food. Human significance: Promotes the growth of human population, making food more readily available to a wider range of people.
Entropy Lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder. Human significance: In the face of the unknown and unorganized, human society cannot properly function productively
Emergence The process of coming into being, or of becoming important or prominent. Human significance: The movement of power in ideas and/or beliefs which shape the opinions of humanity.
Integration The intermixing of people or groups previously segregated. Human significance: With the intermixing of segregated people and groups, more understandings and efficient work can be done through different ways of thinking and intermingling of cultures
Ice Age A series of glacial episodes during the pleistocene period. Human significance: A period where surviving was difficult and people formed tight communities to survive.
Goldilocks Principle States that something must fall between certain values without reaching extremes. Human significance: temperatures, weather, ect cannot be too extreme the regions where it is "just right" is where humans live.
Gaia The greek personification of the earth in the form of a titan. Human significance: a preliminary "god" during the beginning stages of religion, which emphasizes the significance of the earth.
Paradox A statement or propasition that seems self contridictory or absurd but in reality expresses a possible truth. Human significance: To allow a wider range or thoughts and possibilities into explanations of what goes on around us
Theory A coherent group of general propositions used as principals of explaination for a class of phenominon Human significance: help us better understand the occurances around us and use that understanding to better ourselves
Evolution Any process of formation or growth; developement Human significance: Evolution is what allows us to advance and better our lives if humans were not able to evole we would all still be living in caves and using rocks for tools
Regime A method or system of rule or government Human significance: Regime is what keeps society organized. Without regime the entire world would be in chaos.
Complexity The state of being a whole made by a multitude of complicated and interrelated parts. Human significance: Required to create a structured society based off of multiple ideas and backgrounds.
