Gaia definition: Greek goddess personifying the Earth, the Greek version of "Mother Nature," or the Earth Mother. significance: They believed that the earth was like a living organism and instead of thinking they owned the earth they thought they were using
Agrarian Revolution definition: the transition from hunting and gathering to settled agriculture in prehistory. significance: Man no longer hunted for food, grew it and raised live stock. shortage possibility decreased worldwide
Entropy definition:thermodynamic quantity in a system's thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work, also a degree of disorder in a system significance:Based on the thermodynamic laws entropy, the universe is constantly becoming much more disordered.
Emergence defintion:the process of coming into being or becoming important. Significance:Ancient Egypt, Ancient China, and Mesoamerican was marked by agricultural, development of writing systems, organized religion, and progress of science and technology.
Integration definition:the intermixing of people or groups previously segregated Significance: Communities all around the world are integrated, with many different nationalities and beliefs.
Paradox definition: statement or concept that contains conflicting ideas, which in fact contradicts itself. Significance: The meaning of existence with the ultimate end of a person,is a knowledge that a spiritual god can define and the ones who are will die.
Theory definition: An idea of a statement based on practical facts to explain an unknown principal not yet justified. Significance: Society works by coming up with ideas to unknown queries and testing logical ideas towards new intelligence and technology.
Evolution definition:process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms Significance:the only theory connecting the similarities and differences of all the species on Earth and is supported by much
Regime definition:a mode or system of rule or government significance:They are crucial to function in international relations, so they can influence world politics and moniter activity in other countries. They also serve as a root for international laws.
Ice Age definition: is a geological period of long-term decrease in temperature of the Earth's surface and atmosphere, resulting in the expansion of continental ice sheets, polar ice sheets and glaciers. significance: hunters become farmers after the Ice Age
Goldilocks Principle definition: something must fall within certain margins, as opposed to reaching extremes. significance: Allows for reasoning onto why the Earth is able to function the why it is and also brings expectations to others who are admired
