Reformation A period of time in the 1500s in Europe when Christianity changed because many people protested against the corruption of the Catholic Church.
indulgence Forgiveness for sins given by the church. The Catholic Church eventually charged money for this.
protestant A Christian who separated from the Roman Catholic Church during the Reformation.
denomination a particular religious group within a larger faith; for example, Lutheranism.
convert to change (religion)
heresy a religious belief that contradicts what the Church says is true
theological about the study of religion
protestantism following the beliefs of the protestant church.
corrupt the change from good to bad in morals, manners, or actions
theology the study of questions about God
