Agricultural Revolution the change from the neolithic revolution, which consisted of hunting and gathering to farming and raising animal as food. This was important because they could have a limitless of food compared to hunting and moving on to find more.
Plant domestication is the change of behaviors, size, and genetics of a plant. So we could increase the amount of plants/vegetables.
Animal domestication Increasing the amount of animals for increase humans uses, such as food and materials. More food will be there is domestication is taken place
Foragers people who hunted and gathered food. This is important because you could get food without farming
Fertile crescent a geographic area of fertile land which stretched from the nile to the tigris and euphrates. It was important because farming could easily taken place in this area
Narmer was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh of the Early Dynastic Period. Its important because he is one of the people who unified Egypt
Scribe a male who is charge by the temple of palace with writing and reading tasks. This was important because they needed someway of documenting things back then and they didnt have computers.
Cuneiform an ancient wedge-shaped script (writing). Also this is important because it was another way for them to keep records.
Pyramids a series of stone platforms laid on top of another. Its important to know that people could do these amazing things without complex tools or technology like today.
Paleolithic The old stone age. To know that there was changes within the stone ages. Lasted around 10,000 years ago
City State was a self governing urban center. It showed diversity in the civiliation
Neolithic is the new stone age. This was important because its associated with the origins of agriculture, followed.
Papyrus a writing material made with stems of a papyrus reed. Used different materials to make a tool to document writing
Sumerians a civilization in southern mesopotamia at least by 5000 B.C.E. or earlier. They were the ones who frameworked the civiliation of mesopotamia
Babylon was the most important city in southern mesopotamia in the second and first millennia B.C.E.. Its important because it gives people today questions about it
Hammurabi another newer city not far from akkad that initiated a series of aggressive military campaigns. It showed they know that they needed defences
Hieroglyphics a writing system using picture symbols. Showed other way to communicate instead of writing during the Early dynastic period
Ziggurat are massive structures that was approached by ramps and stairs. Show another architectural skill during that time
Irrigation is supplying dry land with water by means of ditches, channels, etc. This showed they knew how to keep there plants alive by using natural resources
