1st degree sprain/strain tissues stretched with minimal swelling & limitations
2nd degree sprain/strain tissues partially torn with moderate swelling & limitations
3rd degree sprain/strain tissues completely torn with severe swelling & marked limitations
Fibromyalgia widespread musculoskeletal pain and fatigue disorder diagnosed by 18 specific points of tenderness
Chronic fatigue syndrome fatigue that is persistent, relapsing, or debilitating and does not improve w/bed rest, 50% impairment for 6 mos.
Torticollis(wryneck) a deformity of the neck causing tilting or rotation to one side, caused by spasming of the SCM because of strain or infection
Muscular dystrophy a group of muscular disorders in which there is considerable muscle degeneration & weakness, genetic trait.
Duchenne muscular dystrophy the most common form of muscular dystrophy, usually appears before 3 yrs age
Myasthenia gravis (asthenia=weakness) characterized by destruction of acetylcholine receptor sites, produces overall muscle weakness, autoimmune disease
