Trench Warfare Long trenches protected by mines and barbed wire. Resulted in incredible death and destruction. Would become absolete with advancement inairplanes, tanks and submarines during WW2.
Treaty of Versailles "unhappy compromise" was signed June 28, 1919 in Versailles, France.
Reparations money for war damages.
Armistice (agreement to stop fighting) signed November 11, 1918 today called Veteran's Day.
United Nations in 1945 maintain international peace.
