What is Empire? A group of lands and people ruled by one goverment.
What is expedition? A group of people who go on a trip for a specific reason.
Who is Ahmose? The New Kindom pharaoh who drove the Hyksos out of the Nile Delta and reunited Egypt.
Who is Hatshepsut? One of the few woman Egyptian pharaohs; orginized a trade expedition to Egypt's southern neighbors, Punt.
Who is Tutankhamun? Egyptian pharaoh who ruled from 7 to 17; his tomb remained nearly untouched until its discovery in 1922.
What is Nubia? An ancient kingdom south of Egypt.
What is Kush? An ancient kingdom in northeast Africa, conquared by Egypt. It later regained independence and florished through trade between c. 500 B.C. and A.D. 150.
What is Punt? An ancient Egpytain name for an area of Africa south of Egypt.
What is the Valley of Kings? West of Thebes in ancient Egypt, the burial of 30 New Kingdom phoraohs.
