Alzheimer's Disease (eponym) A progressive brain disorder that destroys memory and thinking skills, named after German neurologist Alois Alzheimer.
Crohn's Disease (eponym) A type of inflammatory bowel disease causing chronic inflammation of the digestive tract, named after American gastroenterologist Burrill Bernard Crohn.
Parkinson's Disease (eponym) A central nervous system disorder that impacts movement and causes tremors, named after English surgeon James
Hodgkin's Lymphoma (eponym) A type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system, named after British physician Thomas Hodgkin.
Huntington's Disease (eponym) A hereditary disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain, named after American physician George Huntington.

NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) A hospital department that specializes in giving 24-hour medical care for premature, low-birth-weight, or critically ill newborns.
TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) The hinge that connects your lower jaw to the temporal bones of your skull on each side of your head
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating.
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) A scan that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to generate detailed images of the inside of the body.
AED (Automated External Defibrillator) A portable medical device used to give an electric shock to a heart in cardiac arrest.
