Zhu Yuanzhang Founder of the Ming dynasty. Ming means brilliant, he brought back order and proved to be a cruel leader. He trusted no one and killed officials he suspected of treason.
Why did China trade with other countries decline during the Ming dynasty? Confucian officials pursuaded the emperor to stop voyages because they were costing too much and bringing things in from other countries was bad for the country.
What caused the Ming dynasty to decine and fall? The Ming emperors had too much power in their own hands causing the officials to have no desries to make improvements. In time the rulers became weak and greedy officials took over and gave heavy taxes to peasants, the Manchus attacked and took over.
