nome Political subdivisions or provinces in Ancient Egypt.
Scroll A roll of parchment paper or papyrus that is used especially for writing a document.
pharaoh Name given to the king of Ancient Egypt.
afterlife The belief that a person continues to live after death.
sarcophagus A stone container encasing one or more coffins.
embalm To preserve a body using oils and spices to prevent it from decaying.
Old Kingdom This is the age of Pyramids
deity A god or other supreme being.
Rosetta Stone A stone tablet discovered in the 1800's. it was covered with writing in these languages: Egyptian and Greek.
mummify The preservation of the body after death.
solar Of the sun.
autopsy A medical examination of a human, to examine the cause of death.
lunar Of or caused by effecting the moon.
