Define the acronym: SOAP subjective, objective, assessment, plan
What is the SUBJECTIVE section of medical notes? description of a patient's story/condition in their own words
What is the OBJECTIVE section of medical notes? description of the data collected after a healthcare professional meet with a patient
What is the ASSESMENT section of medical notes? facts from patient are put together to make an official diagnosis
What is the PLAN section of medical notes? detailed description of what the provider recommends doing about the current health status of the patient
What is anatomic position? standing facing forward, arms at the sides with palms facing forward
anterior(ventral) the front (ventral means stomach)
posterior(dorsal) the back (dorsal refers to fin on a shark BACK)
superior top half of body
inferior bottom half of body
