| After-Life | A life after death |
| Analects | The holy text for Confucianism |
| Dharma | Your life's purpose, what you are born to do |
| Enlightenment | A state in which the individual transcends desire and suffering and attains Nirvana |
| Filial Piety | respecting your elders |
| Indigenous | People native to a region and having long standing cultural, historical and ancestral ties to the land |
| Kami | Spiritual beings that are in ancestors, nature, and the souls of great leaders |
| Karma | The sum of a person's good and bad actions |
| Mandir | sacred place of worship to give offerings and pray in Hinduism |
| Moksha | The ultimate goal for Hindus; freedom from the cycle of reincarnation. |
| Monotheism | The belief in only one god. |
| Moral | An individuals character or behavior that determines what is right and wrong |
| Nirvana | A state of perfect happiness |
| Philosophy | way of life |
| Polytheism | The belief in 2 or more gods |
