What was "The Prince" about? how to keep political power.

What is "humanism"? the individual person is the most important thing.

What are the three books of the Divine Comedy? hell, purgatory, and heaven, or paradise.
Who wrote "The Divine Comedy"? Dante.
What was "The Divine Comedy" about? A story of the sole journey to salvation.

Why was Zwingli so important? he influenced the city council and began new religious forms.
How did Zwingli end up? Catholics found him wounded on the battlefield, killed him, cut up his body, burned the pieces, and scattered the ashes.
What was Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion about? Protestant's thought.
Where was Calvin from? France
Define predestination. God had determined already who was saved and damned.
Why did Henry VIII want a divorce? He wanted to have a son, and his first wife couldn't give him that.
How did his divorce weaken the Catholic Church? broke up Catholic church in England with the Pope in Rome.

Triangular Trade- slaves from Africa to US. Raw materials from US to Europe. Finished products from Europe to Africa for slaves.
Middle Passage- Africa African slaves from Africa to US
Mainland states- Portugal owned Vietnam, & Thailand.
Bureacracy- red tape. must go through processes to get something dodne (government).
Leo X- pope during Luther's time. Excommunicated him.
Prince of Augsburg princes get to choose Catholicism or Protestantism in Germany
Zwingli- Protestants hate Catholics. Killed in war, chopped up, pieces burned, and ashes scattered.
Calvin- predestination. Frrench Institutes of Christian Religion Book about how to be protestant.
Henry VIII wanted a son. Started Anglican church and left Catholic church in order to be able to divorce.
Ignatius of Loyola founded Jesuits.
Magellan- first to sail around the world.
Columbus- Italiam, sailed to Spain, found America.
Cabot- New England.
De Gama- India, from Portugal.
Vespucci- Guy who named America.
Pizarro- defeated Incans. Used disease.
King Alfonzo- African king against slavery.
