| Peristalsis | process of rhythm is wave-like muscle contractions that move food and other substances though the digestive tract. |
| Fistula | An abnormal connection or tunnel between two organs or body surfaces. Can form due to inflammation, injury or infection. |
| Encopersis | A condition in which a child who has already been toilet trained passes stool in their underwear, often due to chronic constipation. |
| Artesia | A body part that is tubular in nature, does not have a normal opening or lacks the ability to allow material to pass through it, such as anus, esophagus or ear canal. |
| Enuresis | Involuntary urination, most commonly known as bed wetting in children. |
| Hyponephrosis | A condition where one or both kidneys swell due to a backup or urine caused by a blockage or obstruction. |
| Cryptochidism | A condition where one or both testicles fail to descend into the scrotum from the abdomen. |
| Hypospadias or Epispadias | A congenital anomaly in which the actual opening of the urethra meatus is above or below its normal location on the glans of the penis. Hypo is below, epi is above. |
| Epiglottitis | Inflammation and swelling of the epiglottis and surrounding tissue; life threatening. |
| Croup | A group of conditions characterized by inspiratory stridor, a harsh (croupy) cough, hoarseness and varying degrees of respiratory distress |
| Stridor | A harsh, high pitched, musical sound during breathing caused by a partial obstruction or narrowing in the upper airway, including the nose, mouth, throat, larynx, or trachea. Prominent during inspiration. |
