Thucydides Famous for his book "History of the Peloponnesian War."
Euripides Last of the 3 well-known tragedy writers more of a realist than the other two.
Aristophanes The greatest writer of comedies known for his work "clouds."
Phillip II of Macedonia Assassinated at his daughters wedding, and he finally unified Greece.
Demosthenes One of the greatest orators in all Athenian History.
Alexander the Great Military skilled, conquered much of the world known to him, and he never lost a battle.
Diogenes Taught that people should live according to nature.
Pyrrho Founder of skepticism, taught that people cannot know how things really are because everything is changing.
Zeno Established the Stoic philosophy in Athens.
Euclid Mathematician that developed Geometry into a system.
Archimedes The greatest Scientist of the Hellenistic period.
Aristarchus Believed that Earth and other planets moved around the Sun.
Hipparchus Of Rhodes, who was the first Scientist to use Trigonometry in a systematic way.
