diagnostic, procedural and laboratory assist in diagnosing medical conditions, used in combinations, lead to a final diagnosis, assist in treatment planning; Examples : lymphangiogram, CAT scan, Allergy testing
allergy Production of IgE antibodies against an allergen
acquired immunodeficiency (AIDS ) Most widespread immunosuppressive disease; caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
immunosuppressive Disease that flourishes because of lowered immune response.
retrovirus Type of virus that spreads by using the body’s DNA to help it replicate its RNA.
opportunistic infections Infection that takes hold because of lowered immune response.
