Aperture Opening or orifice in the bone
Arch Prominent bridgelike bony structure
Articultation Area where the bones are joined to each other
Bones MIneralized structures of the body that proctect soft tissues and serve as a biomechanical basis for movement
Canal Opening in bone that long narrow, and tubelike
Condyle Oval bony prominences typically located at articulations
Conru Small hornlike promience
Crest Rough head border or ridge on the bone surface
Eminence Tubercle or rounded elevation o a bony surface
Fissure Opening in bone that is narrow and cleftlike
Foramen/fossae Depression on a bony surface
Head Rounded surface projecting from a bone by a neck
incisura Indentation or notch at the ridge of the bone
Joint Site of a junction or union between two or more bones
Line straight small ridge of bone
Meatus Opening or canal in the bone
Notch Indentation at the edge of a bone
Ostisum/ ostia small opening in bone
Perforation Abnormal hole in a hallow organ, such as in the wall of a sinus
Plate Flat structure of bone
Primary sinusitis inflammation of the sinus
Proccess general term for any prominence on a bony surface
Secondary sinuitis Inflammation of the sinus talked to another source
Spine abrupt, small prominece of bone
Sulcus, sulci shallow depression or groove such as that on a bony structure
Suture Generally immovable articulation in which bones are joined by the fibrous tissue
Tubercle Eminence or small, rounded elevation on the bony surface
Tuberosity Large, often rough prominece on the surface of bone
