Abdominal Relating to the abdomen, the part of the torso below the chest and above the pelvis.
Acromial Relating to the acromion, which is the point of the shoulder blade.
Antebrachial Relating to the forearm, the region of the arm between the elbow and the wrist.
Antecubital Relating to the area in front of the elbow, also known as the cubital fossa.
Axillary Relating to or located in the armpit.
Brachial Relating to or situated in the upper arm, between the shoulder and the elbow.
Buccal Relating to or involving the cheek or the area of the mouth adjacent to the cheek.
Calcaneal Relating to the heel of the foot, or the calcaneus bone.
Carpal Relating to the wrist or the carpus (the bones of the wrist).
Cephalic Relating to the head.
Cervical Relating to the neck, or to a cervix (neck of an organ).
Coxal Relating to the hip or hip joint.
Crural Relating to the leg or thigh, particularly the shank (lower leg).
Digital Relating to the fingers or toes.
Deltoid Relating to the deltoid muscle, which forms the rounded contour of the shoulder.
Femoral Relating to the femur (thigh bone) or the thigh
Fibular Relating to the fibula, the smaller, outer bone of the lower leg.
Frontal Relating to or adjacent to the forehead or the frontal bone.
Gluteal Relating to the buttocks or the gluteus muscles.
Inguinal Relating to the groin area, where the thigh meets the trunk.
Lumbar Relating to the lower back, between the ribs and the hips.
Mental Relating to the chin.
Nasal Relating to or having to do with the nose.
Occipital Relating to the back of the head or skull.
Olecranal Relating to the olecranon, which is the bony projection of the elbow.
Oral Relating to or done with the mouth
Orbital In anatomy, relating to the orbit of the eye.
Patellar Relating to the patella, or kneecap.
Pelvic Relating to the pelvis, the basin-shaped structure of bones located between the hips.
Plantar Relating to the sole of the foot.

Pubic Relating to or situated in the region of the pubic bone.

Sural Relating to the calf of the leg.
Tarsal Relating to the tarsus, which is the ankle.
Thoracic Relating to or located within the thorax, or chest region.
Umbilical Relating to or near the umbilicus, or navel.
Vertebral Relating to the vertebrae or the spinal column.
Frontal / Coronal Plane A vertical plane that divides the body or an organ into anterior (front) and posterior (back) portions.
Sagittal Plane A vertical plane that divides the body or an organ into right and left sides.
Transverse / Axial Plane A horizontal plane that divides the body or an organ into upper (superior) and lower (inferior) portions.
Median Plane A specific sagittal plane that divides the body or an organ vertically and exactly down the middle into equal right and left halves.
Cranial Cavity The space within the skull that houses and protects the brain.
Dorsal Body Cavity Located along the dorsal (posterior) surface of the body, it contains the cranial and vertebral cavities, enclosing the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord).
Pelvic Cavity The lower portion of the abdominopelvic cavity, containing organs like the bladder, reproductive organs, and rectum.
Ventral Body Cavity The larger of the two main body cavities, located anteriorly, and containing the thoracic and abdominopelvic cavities.
Thoracic Cavity The superior subdivision of the ventral body cavity, enclosed by the rib cage, and containing organs like the lungs and heart.
Vertebral Cavity An elongated cavity enclosed within the vertebral column, containing the spinal cord and its roots. It is a component of the dorsal body cavity.
Abdominal Cavity An elongated cavity enclosed within the vertebral column, containing the spinal cord and its roots. It is a component of the dorsal body cavity.
Abdomino-pelvic Cavity A body cavity that consists of the abdominal cavity and the pelvic cavity. There is no physical separation between the two
