Albinuria An abnormally high amount of Albumin (Protein found in blood) found in the urine
Alkalosis Blood / Body fluids have too much base (alkali) resulting in a higher-than-average pH
Allochromasia A change of color in the hair or skin
Alveoloclasia The breaking/destruction of an alveolus (tooth socket)
Amblyopia The underdevelopment of one eye, resulting in a blurrier vision in one eye
Ambulate To walk/move from one place to another
Ametropia A refractive error where light doesn't properly
Amniocentesis Removing a small sample of amniotic fluid for diagnostic purposes
Amylorrhea Undigested starch in the stools (feces)
Androgenus Hormones important for the development of male characteristics
Angioplasty Using a balloon to open a closed artery
Anginose Related to the pain of Angina Pectoris (Chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart)
Anisocytosis Abnormal size of the RBC's (Red Blood Cells)
Ankylosis Abnormal fusion of bones within a joint
Anoscope Medical device used to examine the anal canyon and lower rectum
Anthracosis Black lung disease, from inhaling coal dust
Antroscopy Procedure for examining the inside of a joint
Appendectomy Surgery for the removal of the appendix
Aortography Imaging procedure for the aorta and the branches
Arachnoid The arachnoid membrane is the middle layer of membranes that protect the brain and spinal cord
Arteial Relating to an artery
Arthroscopy An instrument to inspect the inner joint
Atelectasis When a section of or the lung itself collapses
Atherosclerosis Cholesterol, fat, and other substances building up on the artery walls
Atriomegaly The enlargement of the atrium of the heart

Hyperbilirubinemia High levels of Bilirubin in the blood (Bilirubin - a yellow pigment produced when the RBC breaks down, liver usually excretes it.)

Blepharitis eyelid infection causing itching, redness, and irritation.

Bronchitis The inflammation of the bronchial tubes in the lungs
Brayera The scientific name for the species Hagenia Abyssinica
Bursitis The inflammation of the bursa, a small fluid filled sack in the joints
Cachexia A metabolic syndrome which causes weight loss involuntarily, muscle degeneration, and inflammation
Calcinuria An abnormal amount of calcium being present in the urine
Calcaneodynia The pain in the calcaneus bone (heel bone)
Hypercapnia Elevated levels of CO2 in the blood
Carcinoma Cancer forming in the epithelial tissue
Cardioplegia Using a special solution to induce cardiac arrest to perform cardiac surgery
Carpopedal Muscle contractions that happen frequently in the foot and hands
Catatonic A state where someone is alive but does not have awareness of their environment or other people
Caudal Near the tail side, or the posterior side of the body
Causalgia Chronic pain described by severe burning pain onto one part of the body
Cecoileostomy Surgical procedure meant for bringing the ileum to the top part of the abdomen, forming a stoma for waste elimination
Celioma A tumor in the abdominal region
Centrilobular The central part of a secondary pulmonary lobule in the lungs
Cephalhydrocele A defect of the part of an infant's brain and a fluid filled sac that causes swelling
Cerebellospinal A structure that connects the cerebellum and the spinal cord
Cerebromalacia The loss of brain tissue after a cerebral infraction
Ceruminolysis The disintegration of cerumen in the external ear canal (Cerumen - Ear wax)
Cervicofacial Conditions or surgical technique affecting the face and neck
