Hyperthyroidism Excessive activity of the thyroid gland leading to increased metabolism
Hypothyroidism Decreased activity of the thyroid gland, resulting in slowed metabolism
Adrenalectomy Surgical removal of one or both adrenal glands
Pancreatitis Inflammation of the pancreas
Gonadotropin Hormone that stimulates the activity of the gonads
Lymphadenopathy Disease or swelling of the lymph nodes
Splenomegaly Abnormal enlargement of the spleen
Tonsillitis Inflammation of the tonsils
Thymectomy Surgical removal of the thymus gland
Lymphedema Swelling due to accumulation of lymphatic fluid
Myocarditis Inflammation of the heart muscle
Endocarditis Inflammation of the inner lining of the heart
Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) Recording of the electrical activity of the heart
Cardiomegaly Abnormal enlargement of the heart
Atherosclerosis Hardening and narrowing of arteries due to buildup of plaque
