ETHNIC GROUP People who share a common culture, language, or ancestry
INSTITUTION An established official organization like religion, education, economics and government
MULTICULTURALISM Variety of cultures within a community
ARCHITECTURE style of buildings
DIVERSE Made up of different people of things
RELIGION system of beliefs, values, or practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader(s) or natural elements
PHILOSOPHY basic beliefs that guide behavior
SACRED viewed as holy or worthy of great respect
WORSHIP giving great respect, prayer, or admiration to a deity or god
PLACE OF WORSHIP common place where people gather to express devotion to a deity or god
MONOTHEISM belief in only ONE god or deity
POLYTHEISM belief in MORE THAN ONE god
DEITY god or goddess
FASTING not eating for a certain period of time
STUPA BUDDHIST place of worship
MANDIR HINDU place of worship
GURDWARA SIKH place of worship
