| Legalism | philosophy emphasizing strict obedience to the system of law |
| filialpiety | respect shown by children for their parents and elders |
| CivilService | group of people whose job it is to carry out the work of the government |
| TenantFarmer | Farmer who works land owned by another and pays rent in cash or crops. |
