Appeasement to give into demands to avoid further conflict
Anschluss the German idea to connect all German people into one country
Air Raid to bomb a target from the air
Blitzkrieg means “lightning war”, a tactic to move your military so quickly that the enemy cannot respond
Concentration Cmamps a place where large numbers of a targeted minority are held unjustly
Conscription to force people to join the military
Deported to send someone out of the country because of their actions or views
Fascism an ideology that gives absolute power to a dictator to enforce nationalistic, capitalistic, and militaristic goals. Dissent is outlawed.
Final Solution the nazi policy of exterminating all jews living in Europe
Ghetto a poor urban area occupied by a specific minority group
Holocaust the systematic killing of 6 million Jews during WW2 by Nazi Germany and its allies
Isolationism a political philosophy that advocates a country stay out of international events and focus on itself.
Kamikazes a Japanese suicide bomber that intentionally crashed into navy ships and military bases.
Lebensraum the German idea that empires must expand or they die
Non Aggression Pact an agreement to not fight another country
Rearmament the process of building up your military after a period of disarmament.
