Washinton Consensus -focus on dereugaltion and advocation for nonliberal economic policies (free markert) and loan conditionality changes for IMF, World B, and US treasury to make loan contigent on lowering countrys spending and regulation
OPEC Third world debt Crisis -states rely on foregin investment but OPEC price of oil up it decreased the raw material prices which funded 3rd world countries. OPEC put money into internat comm banks which caused up in loan interest rates -->countries could afford to pay back loans
WTO (relaces GATT) -create rules w/ traiffs and trade, countries up interest in free market dominated when SU fell, and US control of these places - membership -stalled as developed and developing coundnt agree on policies -increase inequality and growth
