David & the Covenant

| Explain what the Covenant was between God and David. | God would make David's name great, provide a home for his people, and raise up his offspring to establish a kingdom forever. This was true even though David messed up. |

| Why was Jerusalem such a big deal for the community of Israel? | It's the city of proximity to God because his temple is there. That means God's presence is there. Proverbs was written there. Jesus died a little outside of it. |
