Enduring Issues in Global History.

TermDefinition
Conflict a serious disagreement or argument between two people or groups of people.
Power (Desire for, struggle between, fight for) the influence or control over the behavior of people and it is a part of every human interaction.
Inequity (Inequality, Human Rights Violations) a lack of fairness or justice in society. When one person or group of people do not have as much power or opportunity as others.
Impact of Innovations/Advancements a new method or thing that addresses a problem. They can be both positive and negative. Can be Ideas, machines, theories, new rights, or even new kinds of government.
Need for Interconnectedness (Cooperation) being impacted by the connections or relationships you have with other people. For example, the more people you know in your neighborhood, the more you are connected to them. They might be willing to help you in the future
Impact of Ideas and Beliefs being impacted by our culture, religion, politics, traditions, observations, actions, books, ideas, family or friends
Environmental Impact How we are affected by the natural world and how we affect it.
Scarcity when you do not having enough of something that you need. Everything has a limited supply of resources on Earth so as we consume resources, we have to find new things to replace them.
Impact of Population Growth how we are effected by a larger amount of people living in a location.
Impact of Trade how we are effected when we interact with different cultures and different goods
Cultural Diffusion how cultures spread, merge, and change over time
Conflict War, Competition, Invasions, Disputes over resources, debates over government, disputes over class, terrorism, Reform, Revolutions
