Sphere of Influence A foreign region in which a nation has control over trade and other economic activities
Free Market A market with a few government restrictions on how a good or service can be produced or sold
Raw materials the basic material from which a product is made
imperialism a policy in which a strong nation seeks to dominate other countries politically, socially, and economically
Social Darwinism survival of the fittest
Berlin conference This was a meeting of European countries to divide up Africa without asking African people
Racism Believe that one race is superior to another
Militarism A strong focus in building up the military
Nationalism Loyalty and devotion to a particular nationality or country.
