A.m care Care given in the early morning when the patient first awakens

foot board device placed between the mattress and bed to keep the feet at right angles to the legs (natural standing position)
foot drop type of contracture where the legs' calf muscle tends to tighten, causing the toes to point downward
Incontinent Inability to control the flow of (urine or stools) from (bladder or rectum)
Fracture bedpan used for patients who cannot elevate the pelvic area, such as ones with pelvic/hip fracture. It is positioned under the perineum, with handle on end closest to knees
Commode portable toilet
Urinal bottle used to empty bladder of (bedfast) male patients
