Dorsum (DOR-sum) The top of the hand OR foot
Sagittal (SAJ-ih-tal) Divides the body along a hypothetical plane from right to left "sagitta" is Latin for "ARROW"
Coronal (KOR-oh-nal) Divides the body along a hypothetical plane from front to back "corona" is Latin for "CROWN"
Transverse (tranz-VERS) Divides the body from top to bottom
