| Endocrinology | The medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the endocrine system. |
| Glands | An organ in the human or animal body which secretes particular chemical substances for use in the body or for discharge into the surroundings. |
| Hypothalamus | An area of the brain that produces hormones that control: Body temperature, Heart rate, Hunger, Mood. |
| Pancreatitis | Inflammation of the pancreas. |
| Glucosuria | The presence of glucose or reducing sugars in the urine. |

| Anticoagulant | A substance that prevents or treats blood clots in the heart and blood vessels. |
| Leukemia | A cancer that occurs when the bone marrow produces abnormal white blood cells at a rapid rate. |
| Lymphoma | Cancer of the lymphatic system. |
| Splenectomy | Surgical removal of the spleen. |
| Normocyte | A red blood cell that is normal in size and in hemoglobin content. |
| Cardiology | The study of the heart. |
| Arteries | A blood vessel that carries blood from the heart to tissues and organs in the body. |
| Veins | A blood vessel that carries blood to the heart from tissues and organs in the body. |
| Capillaries | Smallest blood vessels connecting arterioles with venules and forming networks throughout the body. |
| Phlebotomy | A surgical opening or puncture of a vein in order to withdraw blood or introduce a fluid. |
