| Patrician | A roman who lived with a wealthy family. |
| Senate | A group of nobles who advise the kind. |
| Plebeian | A member in a very low social class. |
| Legion | A group estimated around 6,000 foot soldiers in the Roman army. |
| Aquaduct | A pipe designed and raised to carry water to and from towns and cities. |
| Circus Maximus | A large, roofless building in the shape of an oval similar to a modern stadium. |
| Dome | A round, curved roof often pointed at the top. |
| Arch | A doorway with a curved roof, and often a half oval shaped entrance. |
| Toga | A cloth draped over men and women ranging from 12-20 feet. |
| Atrium | An open, center court with enclosed rooms at the sides. |
