What was the Renaissance? What role did humanism play during the Renaissance? The Renaissance refers to the "rebirth" of ancient Greece and Rome culture. During the Renaissance period, the growth of humanism widened scholars' interests in classical literature, history, and the works of orators not just focusing on religion.
What impact did the printing press have on the Renaissance world? The printing press was a machine that allowed for metal types to be arranged against a flat surface. It allowed for knowledge to spread and made reading cheaper.
Name some Italian Renaissance artists and some of their notable works. The most important contribution of the early Italian Renaissance was the development of new forms of literature. Why did Martin Luther write his 95 theses? What impact did they have on the Catholic church? Martin Luther wrote his 95 Theses because he wants to discuss his doubts with the priest and how he felt the church was becoming corrupt and against indulences and how the pope had authority . It was the establishment of separate, Protestant churches.
Why did Henry VIII start the Church of England? He desired to end his marriage to Catherine of Aragon in 1527 because she had not given him a male heir, Henry VIII started his own church the Church of England.

What is the scientific method? What impact did it have on Europe during the Renaissance time period? The scientific method is the development of a new way of thinking, a new way of approaching problems, and was a step-by-step process.
