What is the indication of antipsychotics? Reduce psychosis
What is the indication of antipyretics? Reduce fever
What is the indication of skeletal/muscle relaxants? Reduce or prevent muscle spasms
What is the indication of antitussives/expectorants? Control cough, promote the elimination of mucus
What is the indication of antivirals? Treat viral infections (usually life-threatening or chronic infections)

What are examples of contraceptives? Medroxyprogesterone acetate, ethinyl estradiol, drospirenone
What is the indication of decongestants? Relieve nasal congestion
What are examples of decongestants? Pseudoephedrine, phenylephrine, oxymetazoline
What is the indication of diuretics? Eliminate excess fluid
What are examples of diuretics? Furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, bumetanide
What is the indication of hormone replacements? Stabilize hormone deficiencies
What are examples of hormone replacements? Levothyroxine, insulin, desmopressin, estrogen
What is the indication of laxatives/stool softeners? Promote bowel movements
What are examples of laxatives/stool softeners? Magnesium hydroxide, bisacodyl, docusate sodium
What is the indication of oral hypoglycemics? Reduce blood glucose
What are examples of oral hypoglycemics? Metformin, glyburide, pioglitazone
What is the indication of sedative-hypnotics? Induce sleep/relaxation
