This should be used where water runoff from two adjacent slopes concentrates and flows at erosive rates which could create gullies (within flagged area). grassed waterways

Do not apply nitrogen to... soybeans and alfalfa
Apply nitrogen to... corn and wheat
Maintain phosphorus when corn and soybeans are... 30-60 lbs
maintain phosphorus when wheat and alfalfa are... 50-80 lbs
maintain potassium when... crop is 200 - 300 lbs
maintain pH when... it is between 6.4 - 7.9
what is infiltration how fast water enters soil from the surface
when infiltration is too slow it may lead to... ponding or erosion from surface runoff and will not alloow proper soil filtration of nutrients
how is infiltration evaluated? based on the texture and structure of the topsoil
If texture is coarse + single grained, the infiltration will be... rapid
If texture is moderatly coarse + granular, the infiltration will be... moderate
If texture is medium + blocky, the infiltration will be... moderate
If texture is moderatly fine + platy, the infiltration will be... very slow
If texture is fine + massive, the infiltration will be... very slow
