Nubia The region south of Egypt, known for its separated civilizations, alphabetic system, and iron working industry by 500 BCE
Caral The largest of the urban centers in Norte Chico along the coast of Peru during 3000 BCE
Indus Valley Civilization A major civilization located in the valley of the Indus river in 3000 BCE, known for uniformity of its elaborately planned cities
Egypt One of the earliest civilization in world history, with 3 thousand years of history as an intact state ruled by pharaohs
Norte Chico A region along the coast of Peru during 3000 BCE, home to many early civilizations
Olmec civilization An early civilization that developed on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico around 1000 BCE, known for possibly creating the first written language in the Americas
