Lines of Latitude Run( are written) going east to west. Measure distance north and south of the equator
Lines of longitude Run(are written) going north and south. Measure distance east and west of the Prime Meridian
Parallels Another name for lines of latitude
Meridians Another name for lines of longitude
Equator The 0 degree line
Prime Meridian The 0 degree line of longitude
International Date Line THe 180 degree line of longitude
Hemispheres The earth is divided into 4 of these (northern, southern, etc.)
Greenwich, England Famous city that the Prime Meridian passes through
