GTT instructions No food, no drinks except sips of water. Patient needs to remain in the facility and needs to be on time at each draw interval. No exercise or strenuous activity.
2 hour- GTT 3 gray tubes, 75g glucola, draw fasting tube baseline before, draw at 1hr and 2hr after
3 hour- GTT 4 gray tubes, 100g glucola, draw fasting tube baseline before, draw at 1 hr, 2 hr, and 3 hr after
2 hour- Postprandial (after meal) 2 gray tubes, draw fasting tube as baseline before, collect postprandial sample 2 hours after completion of a meal
BC testing site preparation cleanse site with alcohol: chlorhexidine, benzalkonium, tincture of iodine
BC site draw and timing all BC are drawn at 2 different sites and 15 minutes apart unless mentioned otherwise
24 hour urine testing best to start early morning with an empty bladder. keep refrigerated
FOB fecal occult blood test
FOB testing colon cancer screening, 3 days prior avoid eating red meat, vitamin C, aspirin. record 3 separate bowel movements
O&P ova and parasite testing
O&P testing 3 vials, scoop fecal matter into vials to indicated "fill line"
