Japanese American internment After Pearl Harbor, the American government relocated Japanes Americans to remote locations as there was concenrs of them being spies.
Yalta conference The big Three - Stalin, Churchill and FDR agreed to establish the United Nations and to break Germany into 4 regions.
War Production Board A government agency that decided which goods factoires would produce.
Kristallnacht A German order to go out into the communites and destroy and burn Jewish items.
Fascism a form of totalitarianism that emphasizes nationalism and conformity
Island hopping An allied plan in the Pacific to secure air bases on strategic islands to help launch larger attacks on Japan
Reasons why Truman decided to use the Atomic Bomb and the impact it had on Japan. Truman felt the American casulaities would be too high if they invaded the main land of Japan. It would help to end the war.
Differences between the United Nations and the League of Nations. The United States did ot join the League of NAtions after WW1 but did join the United Nations after WW2
War propaganda and its impact on the American people. Describe the effects of war in America (Home front). Americans were encouraged to ration food and grow victory gardens and buy war bonds.
