Humanism this is when a person believes in the study, philosophy, or practice that focuses on human values and concerns.
Printing Press this was an invention that made it so multiple coppies of things could be made easlity. this was a major turning point for people to.
Indulgences This was a piece of paper that catholic churches sold people to make them believe if they bought this that their soul was saved and that their sins were forgiven but really it was all just a fake thing to gain money.
Martin Luther He was a priest that felt as if they Catholic churches were corrupt. He then started the Protestant Reformation.
Magellan
Columbian Exchange this was a dramatically widespread exchange of animal, plants, culture, also including slaves, communicable diseases, and ideas between the East and West.
Middle Passage this is when our people took African people from Africa to the New World, as part of the Atlantic slave trade.
Da Vinci He was a Renissance man with many talents that included painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist and writing.
Henry VIII
Anne Boleyn she was the wife of Henry VIII. She was a key figure in the political and religious start of the English Reformation.
Catherine of Aragon She was the reason that the King split away from the church. He wanted a divorce and they wouldnt grant him one so he broke away to end his marrage to this woman. He did this because all the boy children that she had all died

Spanish Armada This was the Spanish fleet that sailed against England under the command of the Duke of Medina Sidonia in 1588, with the intention of overthrowing Elizabeth I of England
Bloody Mary She was a brutal queen that took power after her father and brother had both died. she had around 300 religious dissenters burned at the stake in the Marian Persecutions. This is how she came to have the nickname Bloody Mary
Charles I He made an absolute monarchy. Many people apposed his actions but yet he still continued on.

Philosophers these are people who study certain topics.
Locke philosopher, they were part of the era refers to the belief that reason and the principals of science should be used to govern.
Hobbes philosopher, they were part of the era refers to the belief that reason and the principals of science should be used to govern.
Rousseau His political philosophy influenced the French Revolution and the development of modern political, sociological and educational thought. he was also a philosopher.
Montesquieu was a French social commentator and political thinker who lived during the Era of the Enlightenment. He is famous his idea of separation of powers.
Robespierre He was a major supporter and memeber of the Committee of Public Safety durring the Reign of terror.
Napoleon reordered church and state. He also brought in the Napoleonic code or a system of laws meant to abolish feudalism and grant equality to all citizens.
First Estate this was the higher portion of the population, they made up 3% of the population and owned 10% of frances land
Second Estate again 3% of the population owned about 10% of the land too but they didnt pay taxes
Third Estate the other percent of france was poor and in this estate, they were foreced to pay taxes even though they had little to no money
Mercantilism this is a theory for a system that is suposed to keep money equal and unchangeable but thats only if the assets are equal to the wealth.
Karl Marx He was a German philosopher, political economist, historian, political theorist, sociologist, communist, and revolutionary, whose ideas played a significant role in the development of modern communism.
Zheng He He was a Hui Chinese mariner, explorer, diplomat and fleet admiral, who commanded voyages to Southeast Asia, South Asia, and East Africa
Ottoman Empire The empire was at the center of interactions between the Easterb&Western worlds for six centuries. It was a vast control of lands around the eastern Mediterranean during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent
Islam the Abrahamic religion
Ming Dynasty this time saw the construction of a vast navy and a standing army of one million troops for this dynasty. the great was built at this time
Ghana in west africa, this place inhabited alot of pre- colonial people. this brought new trades with European states that flourished after contact with the Portuguese.
Mali is a landlocked country in Western Africa
Aztecs they were brutal people that happened to make major discoveries such as making the calendar.
Incas one of the largest empires of this culture, they were split appart by a war.
Hinduism this is a religion thats refered to as the oldest living religion. this is the 3rd most popular religion in the world, they dont believe in one specific god just tradtions
Buddhism this is also a religion and phylosophy. Buddah is their god that they pray to, he believed in nirvana and enlightenment and being at peace.
