QuestionAnswer
Acculturation When 2 cultures meet and the less-dominant culture takes on attributes of the dominant culture.
Assimiliation When 2 cultures meet and the less-dominant culture is basically overtaken and replaced by the dominant culture so that they become indistinguishable.
Independent Invention Where an idea is created somehwere, but it appears somewhere else. NOT because of diffusion.
Migrant Diffusion A type of relocation diffusion: Idea is strong at the source but by the time it spreads it is no longer popular at the source.
Political Ecology A way of studying nature-society relationships.
