primary lesiondescription of condition
macule, macula (freckle) small flat discolored area
patch (vitiligo) larger flat discolored area
papule (pimple) small solid mass
plaque solid mass on the surface of the skin
nodule solid mass that extends deeper into the skin
tumor larger solid mass
vesicle (elevated fluid filled) smaller blister
bulla (elevated fluid filled) ballon like dilated structure larger blister
pustule a pus filled blister
abscess localized collection of pus in the body
