Tang Dynasty 1 Chinses dynasty that was much like the Han, who used Confucianism.
Tang Dynasty 2 equal field system, a bureaucracy based on merit, and Confucian education system.
Umayyad Dynasty 1 An Islamic dynasty based on succession rather than election following the first period of caliphates.
Umayyad Dynasty2 Continued advances in the kingdom venturing as far as China in the East.
Umayyad Dynasty3 Fell apart due to internal tensions.
Song Dynasty 1 Important inventions: magnetic compass; had a navy; traded with India and Persia (brought pepper and cotton); paper money, gun powder, landscape black and white paintings.
Abbasid Dynasty 1 Headquarters in Baghdad allowed Muslims to rise to positions of power and wealth.
Abbasid Dynasty 2 Grew as a result of independent military forces not conquest led by the caliphs..
Abbasid Dynasty 3 Trade with China, India and sub-Saharan Africa
Sui Dynasty 1 The Chinese dynasty that was like the Qin Dynasty in imposing tight political discipline.
Sui Dynasty 2 Built the Grand canal which helped transport the rice in the south to the north.
Yuan Dynasty 1 Dynasty in China set up by the Mongols under the leadership of Kublai Khan replaced the Song.
Yuan Dynasty 2 Set up a centralized bureaucracy.
Yuan Dynasty 3 Beijing capital
Yuan Dynasty 4 Rebuilt the Grand canal.
Yuan Dynasty 5 More extensive foreign trade than at any other time before the modern period.
